Saving your tweaks before updating to iOS 6.1.2

photo Cómo guardar tus tweaks antes de actualizar a iOS 6.1.2

This week we reported the release of iOS 6.1.2 and evasi0n 1.4 to jailbreak those devices with the latest software update from Apple. Many users asked us what are the best tools to save a copy of the tweaks or modifications installed, so you can easily retrieve them after installing iOS 6.1.2 and evasi0n 1.4.

First, if you have not experienced any problems with iOS 6.1.1, do not upgrade to iOS 6.1.2 advise, as improvements relate only to those users who suffered serious problems with the battery performance on their iPhones after installing iOS 6.1.1. That said, here we propose two solutions you can find in Cydia:

  • OpenBackup: is a free solution that displays a simple interface that will allow us to synchronize our free and paid modifications. This option also allows us to save on our computers tweaks, ideal for those times when Cydia is offline. I have used this option to upgrade to iOS 6.1.2 and I have not encountered any problems.
  • PkgBackup: is the most recommended and the price, $ 9.99, it's worth it. This package allows us to synchronize files automatically with services like Dropbox and has support for Bump, Facebook, Twitter and Bonjour.

Once saved our tweaks, we have to connect the iPhone to the computer, make a backup and update to iOS 6.1.2. After following these steps, simply download evasi0n 1.4 and jailbreak our devices from the computer.
