How to Export Contacts from Gmail to iCloud

GMail announced earlier this month that more will not support Exchange, both in email and in calendar and contacts. One possibility to continue using the service is via CardDAV and CalDAV. Another option is to switch to iCloud. If you have all your contacts in GMail, you can pass easily to and use iCloud synchronization service at the Apple cloud.

1. Access your GMail account and go to "Contacts".

2. Once in "Contacts", click on the "More" and "Export".

3. Choose the "All Contacts" and where question "What export format you want to use?" Select "vCard Format" and click "Export". This will download a file with all the information of your Gmail contacts.

4. Once we file, we have to go to iCloud.com and access our account. When you open the iCloud desktop, click the Contacts icon. Once inside Contacts, click on the gear you have in the bottom left and the "Import vCard".

5. Seleccionad the file downloaded from GMail and click "Choose". Passing a few seconds and you will have all your contacts in your GMail iCloud agenda.

To have them on all your devices, they simply will have to configure the sync contacts option in Settings> iCloud. With this simple action will not have to worry if you make any changes GMail.
