On November 29, from Cupertino saw the worldwide release of iTunes 11. Nearly two weeks after the arrival of the update of the Apple platform for media management, we are millions of users who have been enjoying all their news.

However, it never hurts to expose the many changes that have the new version, both in appearance and in compatibility with other iOS devices.

As we advance on our website hours before the launch , on November 29, 2012, Apple released it himself "the best iTunes history." It was a pitch that, although delayed for a while, came loaded with new features:

The first thing the user sees first boot after iTunes 11 is its complete renovation of its visual appearance, through an interface completely different from before, where everything is much simpler if possible. This simplicity makes Apple to highlight above all, what is really important and the essence of iTunes: the content of our library. So much so, that this version has buttons just where to click and where each is much bigger, so that, as we said before, everything is easier, natural and intuitive.

Let's divide the visualization aspect of the content of our library into three parts, corresponding to three areas of your screen:

On the left is a single button that will lead us to the kind of content you want displayed (Music, Movies, TV (series), Applications and Podcasts). After selecting the type of content, different options appear, such as the genre of our music albums or our movies.

You have to remember, that keep inserted and managed metadata of each of our archives will help very much to the iTunes user experience is optimal, because this way, our library will be fully searchable and organized various options that recourse to a particular time. We talked to one of our previous posts a very good way to add metadata to your files , using iFlicks .

The central part is reserved to the heart of iTunes, the display file. This is very good, it seems that Apple is approaching multimedia experience noteworthy as programs like Plex for example. However, it takes a giant leap with version. Thus, our content will reflected in a much more colorful level photo poster or initial (depending on the metadata of course). In turn, and this is the biggest news, by simply clicking on the file will display the contents of the file if a movie (appearing from the synopsis, year, cast and enlarged translucent image) and in the case of treated of a TV show, you'll see a lot more information (each of the seasons that we have added, with each of the chapters and synopsis, etc). Options like we had before filtering by file content not displayed yet, genre, etc.. remain just above the actual content).

Finally, the right is reserved to show those iOS devices that have linked to our own and, at that time, are connected (either via OTA as connected via usb). Selecting we want, will get to our device and can synchronize the content we want. In turn, also the button to access the iTunes Store will have it in that part of the screen.

All these improvements have permeated interface level well within users. Again, simplicity and minimalism succeed in providing even more information from our library, especially, giving the user a better experience and making it look immersed within it.

When be ringing a song, Apple wanted that we continue the playback control unfinished step out of iTunes while doing other activities on your computer. With this, you no longer need to close the application window and leave it in the background, having to open it to make any changes, but we can "minimize" and separate it next to your desktop through the new mini-player. Because he will control playback of that time and, with the new feature Up Next we manage the next track to be played.

The file management system and information on Apple's cloud is no longer present in isolation in iTunes. Now every music track for example is already associated with the possibility of uploading to the cloud or download it, so it will not be a separate section where we have to address if we want to display our content and interact with it.

Integration with other iOS devices and Apple TV:

Options to enjoy our multimedia library perfectly managed from iTunes on other devices is really good and simple. With the option of "Home Sharing" we still have that possibility, in iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. However, it is undoubtedly the application Remote for iPad, which has undergone a radical change, it's like having iTunes 11 on our iPad, so you will enjoy all the benefits of visual and interface level in our Apple tablet . However, remember that through Remote only manages content (sending display via computer or Apple TV.) If we view a file, we go to the Music application or videos.

Without doubt, Apple has taken a big step in the user experience in terms of multimedia content and way of shaping. There is still much work to be done, especially in the visuals of the Apple TV, which has lagged far behind if we compare its interface with the new iTunes. Gradually, Apple is approaching major competitors in this regard as Plex and grandiose way of understanding multimedia display.

Since we want to hear your opinions EsferaiPhone and experiences with the new version of iTunes. What do you like most? What would you change? Echais? Missing essential feature to you?
