Find My iPhone is updated with directions to the device

Apple has updated Find My iPhone to provide directions to the lost or stolen device. If you can not find your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use another iOS device to find and protect your data. To install this free app on another iOS device, open it, and sign in with your Apple ID.

Find My iPhone will help you locate your lost device on a map, play a sound on, display a message to inform that owns it, lock the device remotely, or delete all the data on it for privacy.

If the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch you have installed iOS locate 6, Find My iPhone also includes loss mode, which locks the device with a passcode of four digits, and can display a contact telephone number to right on the lock screen. In this way loss, the device will keep track of where you've been and show their location history. Find My iPhone must be enabled in the iCloud settings on the device to function.

The features are:
• Locate your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or on a map.
• Show a custom message on the screen.
• Play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if the device is in silent mode).
• Lock your device remotely.
• Remotely wipe your device to erase your personal data.
• Loss Mode (iOS 6 or later).
• Driving directions to the location of the device (iOS 6 or later).
• Indicator of battery charge.

New features in version 2.0.1 are:
Directions to iOS device location (6 or later).
Play sound, Loss Mode and Delete buttons appear separately in the map view.

You can download Find My iPhone in the App Store for free. Hopefully that will solve the problem with maps of iOS 6 because it may be an impossible task to find the device.
