Sn0wBreeze is now allowed to jailbreak iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 on some devices

The head of Sn0wbreeze, iH8sn0w has just released a new version of its software to jailbreak iOS devices from Windows. Sn0wbreeze 2.9.7 comes to allow owners of an iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS to Jailbreak iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.0.1 from a Windows computer.

By the time the tool is not compatible with devices with A5 processor as the iPad 2 or A6 processor as the iPhone 5, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini or the new fifth-generation iPod Touch. This update only supports older devices as it has not yet found a way to Jailbreak apply to new devices.

According to information published by the same iH8sn0w:

  • Added support for iOS 6.0 and 6.0.1 (only on iPhone 3GS and A4 devices).
  • The Jailbreak for iOS 6.0 and 6.0.1 tethered only be done through the tool iBooty (except for iPhone 3GS users).
