Apple releases iOS 6.0

Screen Shot 2012 09 19 at 10.35.34 AM Apple lanza iOS 6.0

As expected, Apple has released a free software update for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad: iOS 6.0. You can download the new version of iOS through your device (by going to Settings> General> Software Update). This option may give you problems because, as often happens in these cases, Apple's servers are collapsed during the first minutes of launching an update. The second option is to update your device by connecting it to iTunes and 'comprobamd updates'.

We recall that iOS 6.0 is compatible with iPhone 3Gs, 4 and 4s, iPad 2 and iPod Touch third generation and fourth and fifth generation. However, not all the new features of iOS 6.0 will be available on all these devices.

For example, the possibility of video calling - FaceTime - through the data connection of your telephone operator is limited to the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. The same goes for Siri, navigation turn-by-turn and optional panorama shooting. Do not forget that from now, Siri is also available in Spanish.

In iOS 6.0 also you will find the new Apple Maps application, integration with Facebook, Safari and improved e-mail and the new native application Passbook (YouTube disappears).
