Due to Earthquake in Japan, the prices of components iPad 2 are up. Apple has decided to bear the extra costs that may present this situation, to avoid having to raise the price of their products.
The latest rumors say that Apple plans to produce over 4 million iPad 2 per month during the second quarter, a figure which, according to some analysts, will not be achieved because of the difficulty they are having Japanese distributors to supply orders.
Faced with this situation, the Cupertino company has decided to reduce sales margins ahead of distributors, hoping to get more priority over other companies. Despite ongoing efforts by Apple to maintain a stable production iPad 2 , the availability of some components may run out in June.
For this is that Apple would be willing to support a price increase in order to push the distribution companies to give greater priority to the production of components for them. By doing so, the profit margins of Japanese companies would not be drastically reduced and would continue supplying Apple.
